So after looking through all of these great ideas, I ended up doing a somewhat simple re-purpose myself.  Meet the coca-cola crate.  My mom owned it forever and a day and then sold it to a second hand store.  When I was home visiting I found it and was so excited I bought it immediately.  Afterward, I showed my mom and she informed me that it was her old one, that she had sold.  To avoid moments like this in the future, I have since forbid her from selling any of her other antiques & household items–at least until I get a chance to look at it and see if I want it. So, I had previously used the crate on the floor but wanted to get more use out of it.  So then I thought to make a shelf out of it!

It now houses some of my teas in addition to all the necessary ingredients for oatmeal. Even though it was a spur of the moment idea, I do really like it and intend to keep it. So, for my first Pinterest challenge please put a “check +” next to my name.
